The Gilbert Temple

We went to see the new temple! It was amazing! the color scheme was the same throughout! (Brittany finds it funny that this is the biggest fact that I come away with!) and how cool they have a waiting room for the sealings!! I saw one in the Salt Lake as well as the one Rexberg, Idaho temple. Mesa does not have one.
Britt walked next to me and had so many questions! I was so proud of her! She is such a great girl! I know she is struggling right now but I love how she has grown and will continue to grow!
Joey, surprisingly, was very quiet. I am not sure what he was expecting. I would ask but I am afraid I will get an answer like he wished they had more video games. lol!!!
It was great to spend the afternoon together and to be at the new temple! The best news is we still have two more to go!!! Phoenix and Tucson!

Hi

There have been some problems with the last blog so I am starting new!
We have two weeks and two days until Ashley leaves and I am not sure how I feel. I am trying to keep busy so I don't feel. We had stake conference yesterday and a crazy week before that. Tuesday was our jr high feeder concert and we fed the kids. It was crazy! WE got 10 subs, plenty of cookies, and water. We spent most of the day decorating and gathering things. My poor house was a mess!
And it didn't get any better after that.
I spent the rest of the week making activities for the kids to do in our Stake nursery. Yep, straight from Salt Lake - from now on the Saturday night session will have kids from 12 and up attending with their parents, which means we will have to provide a nursery. I went through all of my mom's old Primary activity books and spent the week coloring, laminating, and cutting. I was surprised with how much I actually accomplished! (Housework not included)

Saturday morning we had 11 year old scout Day camp. And Joey got to go! And why is it that he finds the most difficult kids the group and proceeds to fight with them? But then he is easy to pick on so maybe they saw him first. But he did great and Bro Cosseboom said he is cute. LOL.

(I wonder if cute is just a good word for 'we have high hopes that he will outgrow this'?)
And then there was Stake Conference. There was a children's choir and my little ones got to perform with them. Joey would only sing if he stood next to a little boy who wanted to be there less than he did. (But it was so cute watching him talk him into doing it! He does listen, even when it appears he has other things on his mind!)
Mackenzie decided she didn't want to be there and stood there the whole time with her scrunched up face and refused to even move her lips! (That's my sweet, sweet girl!) All because she wanted to sit on the bleachers.

This week will be much better I think.

And for my sweet friend who needed the information, my old blog is crazykookyclawsons.blogspot.com
